Apple has introduced a new iPod shuffle, and it is half the size of the current model. It is being dubbed the “world’s smallest MP3 player” on the market.
It has the same functions as the previous model plus some bonus features.
The 4GB version holds up to 1,000 songs. It comes in silver and black colors and is priced at $79.
The changes in the new iPod Shuffle are:
1.) It is smaller than an AA battery size. The dimensions are 1.8" tall x 0.3" (4.57 cm x 0.76 cm).
2.) It incorporates a new VoiceOver feature that will recite the song titles, artists and playlist names (the iPod shuffle has no LCD display). It will recite in up to 14 languages (English, Spanish, Italian, Chinese (Mandarin), Czech, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Swedish and Turkish).
3.) The controls are moved from the iPod shuffle body to the ear bud cord with forward and backward buttons and also activate VoiceOver feature.
4.) Battery life is 10 hours.
5.) It will have the clip just like the previous one, but at only half the size. The clip will securely attach to y our shirt, jacket, workout gear or backpack and is made of aluminum.
6.) The previous iPod Shuffle had a shuffle switch, with an on and off switch separately. Here it is incorporated at one place. When you flip to the left, it plays the music in random order, and when you flip to the center, it plays in order. And when you flip to the left, it turns the Shuffle off.
